Plaza Park Squares

I got this recipe from a mother of one of Bama's tennis teammates, D-Lid. This dessert is so good!! Guarenteed, you can't eat just one!

Layer 1
1 box of Duncan Hines butter cake mix
1 stick butter or margarine
1 egg
1 cup of chopped pecans

Layer 2
2 eggs
8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
1 box confectioner's sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingreds. of layer one thoroughly with hands. Press in greased 13 x 9 pan.
Next, for layer 2, beat softened cream cheese. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Then gradually mix in conf. sugar until smooth. Pour on uncooked first layer. Bake 350 degrees for 30 - 35 minutes. Cool COMPLETELY, best if cooled in pan overnight and cut next day.
