Big Daddy's Beef Jerky

Big Daddy loves him some beef jerky. One Sunday at church, the minister asked that we take communion by inviting the congregation by rows. He called our row and we stood up in the receiving line. I heard some people giggling, I looked down, and hanging out of Tom’s back pocket was a 12 inch jerky stick. It went half way up his back. I yanked it out and literally threw it back to our seat. Several church members saw this and thought it was hysterical. It goes to say-Tom has to have his jerky fix. This recipe is one that Tom has developed of his own practice. He makes it in his food dehydrator, but can easily by used in a very slow cooked oven as well.

Big Daddy's Beef Jerky
1 T crushed red pepper (more if you like it)
1 tsp salt (per lb of beef)
1 C Moore’s Seasoning (Dales is to salty)
1 tsp. Mrs. Dash
¼ C Worchershire Sauce
½ tsp McCormick Hotshot! Red & black pepper blend

Use this in sliced beef. Marinate at least 2 hours. Drain. Slow cook meat until getting the jerky texture.
