I LOVE pickles. I swear that drinking the pickle juice washes your system out, if any thing it preserves your organs well. This is a great way to make up your own version of these wickedly delicious pickles.
Easy Sweet Pickles
1 quart kosher dill pickles
½ C water
2 C sugar
½ C vinegar
Mixed spices or a few slices of sweet onion. Also good, whole hot red peppers or Tabasco and garlic-or course this takes out the sweet and makes it spicy.
Heat sugar, water and vinegar until sugar dissolves. Drain pickles. Cut onion into cubes and return to jar. Pour over liquid. Refrigerate 24 hours.
