Pizza Dip-Foodie Friday

Today is Foodie Friday! It is hosted by Designs by Gollum. Be sure to go by and see all of the participants of this most Tasty day of the week!

For Diva's birthday party this past week, the theme was Italian. I was in a rush and wanted to do an appetizer. An easy and tasty fix is Baked Pizza Dip. Everything in this dish is things that I always have on hand. I even keep pizza dough mix in the pantry. It took no time to make pizza dough sticks for dipping.
"I think this is a form of crack", said my friend, BBJ. She's right. Once you start, it's hard to stop dipping!
Delicioso!

Baked Pizza Dip

Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese (I use 2 packages of cream cheese when I back in a shallow casserole dish. I soften in microwave and then spread flat)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup pizza sauce ( i use one small jar, like Pizza Quick)
(the next two ingredients are optional)
2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped red pepper

Directions:
Beat cream cheese and seasonings with electric mixer on medium speed until well-blended.
Spread mixture on the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Top with pizza sauce, and then the remaining mozzarella cheese and then the peppers.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly heated and the cheese is melted.
